Christmas on Mission Collection Day Sienna

This season, our Sienna Campus is celebrating Christmas by being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child
Share the Gospel with a Shoebox

Operation Christmas Child

Collection Details:

Sun, Nov 15 — Sienna Campus

Bring the filled-box back anytime the church is open by Sun, Nov 15.

Each year, Houston’s First joins with Samaritan’s Purse to send gift-filled shoeboxes to children around the world through Operation Christmas Child. These simple boxes, packed with love, bring joy to kids in hard-to-reach places.

By packing a shoebox, you are not just giving a gift; you are planting seeds of faith. You are encouraged to pray over each box you prepare, asking God to open hearts to the Good News of Jesus and to transform entire communities through the power of the Gospel.

The final day to return the boxes is Sun, Nov 15!

It’s easy!
  1. Grab a shoebox at an Operation Christmas Child station throughout the church.
  2. Fill it with gifts and goodies a child will love.
  3. Bring it back anytime the church is open by Sun, Nov 15.

How to Pack a Shoebox

Choose a medium to large “wow” item, like a soccer ball with a pump or a stuffed animal. Then, add fun toys, school supplies, and personal care items. You can also include a personal note and a photo! These are often a child’s favorite part of the gift!

Shoebox
Get a standard size shoebox to pack for a boy or girl. Need shoeboxes? Great preprinted boxes are available from SamaritansPurse.org.

Pray
Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. Include a personal note and photo to delight the heart of the child.

Donate $10 Per Box
A donation of $10 per box is critical to cover shipping and other project costs. For easiest processing you can give online. If you use the Follow Your Box feature, you can also discover the destination of your shoebox!
