Take Your Next Step
Day of Baptism 2026
Our faith was never meant to stay hidden.
As believers, when you decide to place your trust in Jesus, baptism is the next step: a moment to demonstrate what He has done in your heart.
Baptism alone is not what saves you.
We believe that when you repent, believe, and place your faith in Christ, then you are saved. This gift is not something you earn; rather, it comes entirely from His work on the cross. What baptism does is provide a visible representation of that work. As you go under the water and come back up, it reflects the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
Kevin Spivey, Minister of Prayer and Connection, explains:
Baptism is an outward expression of inward faith; it is a public declaration of an inward commitment.
What is Day of Baptism?
Every year, Houston’s First sets aside an entire day to celebrate this step together at each campus. Hundreds of people choose baptism, and the day is full of joy as many cheer and celebrate one another.
If you have placed your faith in Jesus, you are invited to be part of it. Day-of baptisms (otherwise called "spontaneous baptisms") are encouraged.
If you feel Him calling you to take this step of baptism, just respond when the invitation is given, and we will be right there with you.
When you feel that call, we will have ministers located across our campus to walk you through the process. They will talk with you about what it means to be saved, explain how the day will go, and will pray with and for you. There is no need to be nervous. Someone will be with you every step of the way to answer your questions.
Where can my family and friends watch?
Your family and friends can still celebrate with you, even if they are not physically present! Every service at The Loop Campus is streamed live, so they can cheer you on from wherever they are.
Anyone can watch from our Church Online, our Facebook, and our YouTube.
If you have not already been baptized, prayerfully consider taking this important step, proclaiming to your family and friends that you have been forgiven and free as a follower of Jesus Christ! If the Lord has been at work in your life, baptism is a special opportunity to declare it publicly!
